Palco Public Library

History

The library was started as a service project of the Modern Mrs. HDU in 1962, in a corner of the Palco City Hall. Therean Towns built the shelves for $5, and members and businesses around the community donated books. 

To make sure the library would thrive, the members of the club, community and city council decided to put it to a vote and in the November 1965 election the library was officially formed.
